18th/19th century gilt framed oil painting on canvas. A large & spectacular original English school oil in the manner of John Constable. Has had some restoration to a tear in the canvas & this has also been stabilised & strengthened on the back ; this is hardly visible from the front & does not detract from what is a lovely classic rural English scene. It is also set in one of the most impressive antique gold frames that we have seen during many years in the art & antiques world.
